How to Know If a Guy Likes You?

I recently received a question from a woman who said:

“How can I tell if a man likes me?”

She continued with:

“It is very strange, my friends have always known weeks in advance whether a man likes me, but I never see this. I simply don’t have a clue what to look for… ”

Before I tell you where you can see if a man likes you, let me just quickly emphasize something:

“In this article, you will discover whether a man likes you, not whether he is in love with you”

The reason I say this is because these two things are often confused.

Because if you find out on the basis of this article that he likes you, it does not automatically mean that he is in love with you.

These two things have a lot but at the same time nothing in common.

(… If you want to find out if a guy is in love with you, check out this article )

This article is all about whether he likes you, yes or no. You can see it as the principles of falling in love.

1. He comes up with a way to get in touch with you

Whether it is a man who greets you in a bookstore or a man who speaks to you in a bar; if a man really likes you, he will figure out a way to get in touch with you.

It may be that he steps directly at you and compliments you, but it can also be something as trivial as asking for time.

When a man does this, it is often because he likes you.

Please note: many men are too afraid to just walk up to a woman, so if a man does not appeal to you, it does not necessarily mean that he does not like you.

2. He asks you a lot of questions

If a man likes you, he wants to know everything about you, so every time you see him, he asks you questions that you think:

“Why are you asking me all these questions?”

Or:

“Why is this information relevant to you at all?”

Suppose he works for you in a company, and he asks:

  • How’s that project going? How far are you with that?

If it’s information he doesn’t need, it’s just a way he tries to talk to you.

If he always wants to know everything about you and constantly asks you a lot of questions, you can at least assume that he likes you more than usual.

3. He forgets time

In a world where everything rushes around us at supersonic speed, something like time has become indispensable.

If he’s not worried about the time when you’re together, that’s a very good sign.

This simply means that he likes to spend time with you.

If he hadn’t liked you, he would have talked himself out with some vague excuse.

… Oh, if he also finds out that he is late for an appointment with his friends, it is certainly an obvious sign that he loves you.

4. He does not look on his phone when you are around

Nowadays with that whole smartphone culture, everyone tends to constantly check their cell phone.

In fact, it’s so extreme now that people often check that thing over a hundred times a day.

It is so typical that people constantly check their phones that you notice when a man does not do it when you are around him.

This simply means that he finds you more interesting than his smartphone.

When you talk to him, he is too busy with:

  • Make sure he doesn’t say anything stupid
  • Trying to make a good impression on you
  • Listening to you so that he can continue the conversation for as long as possible.

Well this may seem like an innocent signal.

Because (thank goodness) there are people who put their smartphone aside when they talk to someone, but these are less than you think.

So if he is not looking at his smartphone, that is at least a very good sign.

5. He gives you compliments

Can it be even clearer? Um… yes, you can.

But still, a compliment is a clear signal that he likes you.

Because, unless he’s a player, a street vendor or a close friend, a man will never compliment you if he doesn’t find you attractive.

It’s as simple as one plus one is two.

In other words, does he give you compliments?

If so, it is almost always because he really likes you.

6. He finds everything you tell interesting

If a man likes you, he literally can’t get enough of you.

So if a man hangs on your lips with every word you say, it is not because he does it politely.

The reason a man can listen to you for hours is that he likes you.

And it is often the case that when a man really likes you, he finds everything you have to say interesting to listen to.

Includes the latest gossip about your boss and your girlfriends.

You know, the things that a man normally doesn’t care about.

So if this is the case, you can safely assume that he likes you.

7. He occasionally “forgets” to make eye contact with you

And by forgetting I mean that from time to time he thinks it’s more important to look at you from head to toe than to keep looking at you.

What? Ill-mannered, you say?

Before you start … this is a very strong sign that a man is attracted to you.

“What goes through his mind speaks for itself …”

… Right, he’s admiring your “outfit”;)

But the important thing is that when a man does this he likes you. You can’t have it much clearer than this.

Because if a man is not attracted to you, he will NEVER do this. Such a man keeps eye contact with you continuously.

(… An opposite is a man who constantly looks at your body, such a man is only physically attracted to you)

So if you occasionally notice his eyes wandering, it’s a crystal clear signal that he likes you.

8. He’s trying to impress you

It’s something I try to discourage all my male clients, but I still see it happen over and over again …

… Men who brag about their jobs, possessions, skills and so on.

The reason a guy does this is that he’s trying to convince you he’s a nice person.

Right, he’s trying to impress you.

I leave it up to you if you want to date such a man, but if he tries to impress you, he will because he likes you.

9. He constantly smiles at you

This does not mean that every man who smiles at you is like:

“I like her.”

(… But it is striking)

But when you’re talking to a guy who constantly smiles at you — even at times when neither of them is saying something funny — that’s twice as striking.

Often this means that he likes you.

And maybe it is even recognizable?

Because not only men but also women suffer from this, so if he constantly smiles at you, that is a very good sign.

10. He behaves differently when you are around

If you have known him a bit longer, you may have noticed that he behaves differently when you are around him.

For example, he may say less when you are around.

But it may also be that he starts talking more and maybe even tries to entertain you with his jokes.

If he somehow shows abnormal behavior, it is because he has feelings for you.

11. You “coincidentally” like the same thing

This is a pretty funny thing that men do, but if he really likes you, he doesn’t mind spending an afternoon shopping with you.

In fact, he doesn’t complain about this for a second.

Whether it is a good idea to go shopping together, I leave that to you.

But if a man (without effort) is willing to do things like this with you, it’s because he loves you.

So, in this case, there is no doubt: he likes you.

12. He (very much) leans in when he talks to you

This is a very striking signal. Just for fun, walk into a bar for an evening and watch the men.

What you see is that all men who try to decorate a woman are leaning forward.

This is something almost all men do without realizing it.

But when you see this — when you’re talking to a man — you know he likes you a lot.

The reason men do this is that they really want your attention, they almost literally hang from your lips with every word you have to say.

13. He is jealous

This signal is not always easy to pick up as some men can hide it very well.

But suppose you are talking to another man and he looks (jealous) your way, he thinks:

“What does this man want from her.”

The reason he thinks this is because he would like to be in his shoes.

Exactly, he is jealous.

And if a man shows jealous behavior, it simply means that he likes you.

14. He wants to know everything about you

“Why does he want to know all that about me?”

This is what a friend of mine asked recently.

She said before that there was a new man at work asking all of her non-work related questions.

I said to her:

“You are really a dork, the reason he does that is that he likes you.”

Because look.

Whether you like it or not, men are predictable.

When a man is interested in you, he will show interest in you.

And when a man likes you, he will want to know everything about you.

So this is another crystal clear signal that he likes you and wants to be more than friends with you.

15. Eternal wandering

Imagine you have been on a date together and at the end of the date, you are about to say hello.

… But instead of leaving, he pauses in front of you.

This eternal drift means two things:

  1. He likes you
  2. He wants to kiss you

Because look. If a man does not like you, he will say hello and continue his path without mercy.

But if a man likes you, he will try to postpone that last moment for as long as possible in the hope that you will kiss.

So when this happens it is obvious: he likes you.

16. He wants to solve everything for you

This is such a masculine trait that you cannot escape because if a man really likes you, he will want to solve everything for you.

He doesn’t do this because he thinks you can’t do something.

He knows you are strong enough to lift that heavy shopping bag yourself.

But he helps you because that’s what men do when they like a woman.

This is baked into him and is his way of telling you he likes you.

17. He’s getting close

We talked a bit about signal # 12 that when a man leans in, it’s a clear sign that he likes you.

Another typical body language thing is when he comes very close to you (often in bars) or sits right next to you (often on dates).

The reason men do this is very simple: he tries to get you on (because he likes you).

18. He constantly fiddles with himself when talking to you

What you often see when a man likes you is that he does not adopt an attitude.

  • He is modifying his clothes.
  • He fidgets with his hands.
  • He constantly moves his drink to his mouth.

He does this because he gets some kind of ‘nervous energy’ when he likes you, and that energy has to get out of his body somehow.

Hence he is constantly fidgeting when talking to you.

In short, a clear signal that a man likes you.

19. He mimics you

You may find it annoying when a man is mirroring you.

But often this means that he likes you.

It is true that when a man (in front of you) is nervous or shy, he unconsciously mirrors you.

So suppose you suddenly sit down, he will do the same.

Or suppose you suddenly go through the hair with your hands, he will do the same.

In other words, when a man imitates you, it is often because he likes you.

20. He has a super memory

Most men can barely remember a name.

… let alone remember other important things like your birthday or your hobbies.

There is only one exception to this.

And that’s if a man likes you.

“If a man likes you, it’s like switching the super memory button in his brain”

Not only does he remember your birthday, but he literally remembers everything you have to say.

For example, he will inform you how it ended with the argument between you and your girlfriend about which you once told.

So if you find that he remembers things like this, you can safely assume that he likes you.

21. He wants to protect you

Even if you only just know him, if a man likes you, he will try to protect you from the first moment.

Even if you met him at a bar that same night, he will position himself so you don’t get knocked over.

Or when you both go out to smoke, he offers his coat.

These are all little things a man will do to try to protect you.

But pay attention to this, a man will never just do this.

Because when a man does this, it is crystal clear that he likes you.

22. He says incredibly silly things

I don’t know if you’ve ever had this, but if you really like someone, it’s like getting ten points dumber.

This is something that happens to both men and women.

And I don’t make up those ten points by heart, because they have tested this.

What seems?

“A man’s IQ can drop ten points when faced with an attractive woman”

This is what the researchers concluded:

“We conclude men’s cognitive functioning may temporarily decline after an interaction with an attractive woman.”

So when a man says silly things to you, it can mean two things:

  1. He’s just really silly
  2. He is attracted to you

Nine times out of ten, it’s because he likes you so much that silly things start to pop out of his mouth.

23. He flirts with you

This speaks for itself, if he flirts with you he does not just do his seducing skills.

No.

When a man flirts with you, he actually says:

“Hey, I like you.”

24. Your feeling says he likes you

Women are incredibly good at picking up non-verbal cues. So if you think a man likes you, this is usually the case.

This could be because you picked up some of those nonverbal cues when you spoke to him.

But it is also the case that you simply feel good with him.

Women simply have a sixth sense for things like this.

So if it really feels good, it’s often because he likes you.

25. He is constantly looking for ways to touch you

Is he constantly looking for a reason to touch you? For example, does he get (imaginary) fluff from your hair? Or does he playfully nudge you?

These are all ways to test how physically he can be with you.

And guess three times why he’s doing this?

What? You think he does this because he likes you?

Bingo, you got it right.

When a man touches you (continuously), it is a very good sign.

26. He teases you

You’ve probably heard the following:

“Teasing girls are asking for kisses.”

The way of teasing changes, but the principle will always remain the same.

For example, he will (probably) not pull your hair, but will try to tease you by, for example, making a sarcastic comment.

When a man somehow tries to trick you, it is often a clear signal that he likes you.

27. He says it

Maybe he doesn’t literally say he likes you, but something like:

  • Can I get your number?
  • Gosh, do you have a friend?
  • Let’s have a drink together.
  • Do you have what to do then?

… And so on.

These are all ways a man tells you he likes you.

It couldn’t be easier than this.

A man will never say something like that out of politeness or just because he wants to be nice, if a man says something like that, he does it because he likes you.

So try not to find anything behind it, but enjoy the fact that he likes you.

So, he likes you… Now what?

Now comes the trickiest part, now that you know he likes you, you want to find a way to tie him to you.

And to get you started as best I can, I have a simple way for you to make him obsessed with you.

Do you want to know what this way is?

It is the secret male obsession for the right answer to a man’s heart. When you discover all the techniques, you will be able to make the guy of your liking feel the strong desire for you which is truly powerful. You’ll end up being an important part of your man’s life. Continue to read here
